Campus Portal for Parents

Sep 19, 2007

Dear CSD Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to introduce the Campus Portal for Parents (CPP)!

The Campus Portal for Parents is a powerful, easy-to-use, secure communication tool connecting teachers, parents and students. Designed to help families stay up-to-date with their student’s assignments, activities, attendance and academic progress, the Campus Portal for Parents is just a click away (https://campus.csdecatur.org/campus/portal/decatur.jsp). For all families with students in grades PK-12, access to demographic data, student attendance, and statewide assessment (i.e. CRCT) will be available. Additionally, families with students in grades 6-12 will have access to assignments and grades for each class.

Individual usernames and passwords are necessary to access Campus Portal for Parents (CPP). The letter with your individual information must be picked up in person after presenting a valid photo ID (driver’s license, state ID card, or passport).

Parents will have the opportunity to obtain this information by picking up their access letter from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the media center on September 20th before the RMS IB Information Session. Note: The IB session will be held in the cafeteria on the 20th with a brief PTA meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. The letters will be in alphabetical order by parent or guardian last name, not the student last name.  Be sure to bring a valid photo ID. (sample letter). Download the Campus Portal for Parents User Guide.

It is also important to note that parents or guardians who have already picked up a letter from another school for another child in the district does NOT have to pick up the letter from RMS.  The same username and password is valid for the parent to have access to ALL family members under one login.

After the IB Information Night, families can obtain access information from the Registrar's Office at Renfroe Middle School (in the main office). Remember to present a valid photo ID at the school.

CPP is a free service to parents and has the capability to run on any computer (PC or Mac) with Internet Explorer 5.0 or better, Firefox 1.0 or better, or Safari. If you have questions, you may contact the Registrar or Administrative Assistant at each school or email Heather Sutton, Student Data Coordinator, at hsutton@csdecatur.org.

Families will have access to the CPP via school and district websites:
PK-5 Under “Family Info”
6-12 and district Under “Quick Links”
