CSD Explores Possibilities of Becoming a Charter System

.The City Schools of Decatur is currently exploring the possibility of becoming a Charter System under the recently passed Charter Systems Act legislation (Senate Bill 39). Superintendent Dr. Phyllis Edwards has recently held several information sessions regarding this issue for the public and for CSD staff. In the month of October, she will also hold two public hearings with the Board of Education for all interested parties.
