Who: All Renfroe Middle School students
What: Online Assessment System (OAS)
When: Available for use NOW
Why:
The test results of Renfroe Middle School will be part of the information used to determine the school’s Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). Additionally, students in 8th grade must pass the Reading and Math CRCT’s (taken April 16-20, 2007) in order to be promoted to the next grade level.
How you can help?:
The RMS teachers are using the Georgia Department of Education Online Assessment System (OAS) during the day in their classes as a practice and/or formative assessment for students. The database is updated often with new sample questions based upon our curriculum, which is based on the Georgia Performance Standards (http://www.georgiastandards.org/).
We encourage students to take the Student Practice test at home or at the public library. Please use the Parent Quick Start Guide to access your child’s practice test results online. You must obtain the username and password for your child from a faculty member at the school (404.370.4440 phone). We cannot post that information online.
**Please read the Note on the Parent Guide about Pop-Up Blocker.
If you have any questions, please contact us at 404.370.4440 ext. 225 (media center).
